One coworker of mine age 63 was talking, and I mentioned daddy long legs for no particular reason, when he bursted out saying that they aren't spiders and they aren't poisonous ("It's just a myth!"). I looked at my other coworker of my same age, and gave him a wierd look.

I responded, "I think 8 legs means it's a spider" but he told me the body is different than "Normal" spiders. I agreed. But I've always heard they're poisonous, so I told him that I still think they're poisonous. I'm always right... wrong.
Anyway, I decided to make this into some sort of contest by polling every single person who strolled by. Since I work at the Church Office Building in Downtown Salt Lake City, that wasn't hard, as I pass many electricians, custodians, manual laborers, and the whole bunch. I began randomly polling everyone, and the next day everyone was asking me how the poll was going.

I decided to get to the internet and make those who visit my blog (The millions of loyal fans) join in on the fun. So far I've had a great (uh huh...) response. But that's aside the point.

Out of 15 people I polled at the Church Office Building, 13 said it was poisonous, and 12 said it was a spider. Leaving 3 saying it was NOT a spider, and 2 saying it WASN'T posionous.

I was proud of my accomplishment, proving that I was right. It is a spider, it is poisonous. But then I looked on the "web" (this time, pun intended). I found out that although the daddy long leg is an arachnid, it is NOT classified as a "Spider" as we know it. It is actually a harvestman, or of the order of "opiliones".

There is a point of confusion, however upon the statement that it is not a spider.
The Daddy long leg is not a "true" spider, but the Daddy long-legs spider is. If that's not confusing I don't know what is.

And to set the record straight on if they are poisonous, I asked my friends at Mythbusters, and they told me to look here: Is the daddy long-leg poisonous?

Although it has venom, it is not potent enough to harm a human, unlike a black widow which would kill a human being.

FINAL RESULTS
Is the daddy long leg a spider? It is an arachnid, but not the same order as a Spider.

Is the daddy long leg poisonous? It has venom, but definately not strong enough to envenomate a human, even if it does penetrate the skin with a bite.
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. If you are totally bored, you will follow this list of directions and laugh your silly pants off. Are you ready for this?

Go to Google Maps

Click on "Get Directions"

Type "New York" in the 'start address', and "London" in the 'end address'.

Look at direction #24

Be prepared to set a world record.

I guess that would make a trip to London affordable for just about anyone, just don't forget to bring along the essentials for the trip! And (Yes, I started a sentence off with 'and') there you go! Boredom no more, well, at least it got your mind off something you probably should have been doing.

Okay, and now, for some more fun stuff, the cover of Harry Potter 7! Not just the front, but the back, too! Take a peek:

Sorry the words on the cover don't look to well, I had to cut and paste the cover with words onto the cover that had no words. Which is why I'm showing one with words and one without.

This is without the words

So basically, there are a few things of note on the cover. It appears as if Harry and Voldemort were fighting, but neither of them have wands. They both seem to be focused on something out of view... is that the cause of the orange sky? Are they working together to prevent something from happening at that very moment, or is Harry summoning something while Voldemort is trying to prevent him? Again, no wands. Remember that they have 'brother' wands, so perhaps something happened to both their wands.

Tell me what you think!
The Buckinator
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. Today I had to unload many large, metal, filing cabinets off a trailer, and in the process cut myself up on my right arm. So now I have a cut on my palm, a previous injury to my middle finger, abrasions and bruises on my wrist, a welt on my forearm, and a small cut on my arm... all on my right arm.

Further information coming soon.
This is MIA signing out.
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. I don't know if I will add any more storyline along with it in the future on this blog; however, I will try to add a scanned version of what the station looks like soon.

SPACE STATION X3-4T

The story of the completion and habitation

of a functional space station above earth, and it’s demise.

History:

The year was 2010 when plans for the space station X0-1Q were finished. But, when attempts were made to begin the building of this space station beginning in 2013, international issues aroused and the plan was devastated. 2 more futile attempts were made, until the fourth and final attempt was reviewed by international teams and approved in 2030. Space Station X3-4T is a space station that includes living space for residential living, and also recreational areas, as well as artificial habitats for growing and raising food. Plans have been made so that there is partial gravity (1/3 gravity) in the living quarters, while the recreation zone can be altered (from zero gravity to earth level). The artificial habitats for food such as fruit, grains, even animals, vary depending on the habitat.

Everything consumed in the space station comes from the food raised on the space station. All waste is atomically evaporated in special conditions and disintegrated. The energy it creates helps provide electricity and other needs to the space staton. However, whenever that is not possible, it is sent to asteroid dumps.

Living conditions on the space station is very normal. Every family has a spherical home with 4 levels. These levels are reached by a cylindrical elevator or staircase. Travel to the living quarters are achieved by using space pods (space vehicles that are programmed to operate between the main station and the living quarters). But, the homes can also be reached by a walkway inside, as well.

Every home is in a “neighborhood” of 8 houses. These 8 homes are reached by space buses that deposit any visitors or guests in the center. There is one recreation zone for every 4 living quarters, and for every 4 neighborhoods, there is a big recreation zone, where weekly activities take place.

The Space Station took 30 years to build, piece by piece, until it was finally completed. With the technology in place, the space station is durable for more than 4 generations. Every fourth generation, a process will be taken to ensure the continued function of the space station. However, for the first 24 generations, it will not be necessary to receive “earth” help, as all the required technology to continue these functions are already on board, in storage compartments. After those 24 generations, the space station must be re-equipped with the technology. Plans are that after that time, scientific research and technology will be far more advanced that it is now, and we will use a new technology, enduring the space stations life for hundreds, if not thousands more years.

The year is now 2065, and the space station has been functioning for a mere 5 years, with few, if any, problems. We go now to accompany the family Graves (names may change) here on earth as they are setting off on a space bus with a few other families in just 3 days.

Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. It's a new look, with a dark, marine-blue on white, with sky blue highlights and letters in White. I hope you enjoy this as I'm not very good at making things match. But this, oh, is probably my best match EVER!
On another note, we've changed rooms. Previously, we were in Chicago, but the mission president decided it was too dangerous for us to be there, and we had to find a new room. Well, mission accomplished, and now we have an EXCELLENT view from our BALCONY. I'll show you. The mountain/hill you see is the Huacca del Sol y de la Luna. (I've been there before).
Well, that's all the news for now! What a great example it can be to us, to show us that we should stand up for what we believe in, and never deny that Christ is our Savior!

As a personal sacrifice, I decided to eat a sucker my parents sent to me. Now, many of you may wonder "what kind of sacrifice is that, that's CANDY!" Well, I'm here to tell you, that the sacrifice was my teeth. They turned red! That's right folks, I turned from a regular white toothed person, to a vampirish looking of a fellow! I think I'll let you take a look at the pics...

And as a side note, I want you to NOT notice the red nose recently burned while visiting a touristic site called Chan Chan, the biggest adobe ancient ruins in the world. But that's aside the point, let's look at the photos now...

BEFORE (How nice...):

That's me with the white teeth (and the red nose which, of course, is not to be mentioned of).

That's nice, eh? Now lets take a look at the NEXT picture...

AFTER:

Not so cool, eh? Well, now that they're stained this way, I get all these funny stares! Why? "Why baby, Why!?" (Name that movie - it's from a remake we did like a couple years ago...)

Teeth did not stay this color. While he would have liked to continue, the fear of them falling deterred the notorious Elder Buck from stacking them further to taking them down and putting them back onto the shelf.

Elder Buck tells us of his accomplishment: "I feel very happy to be able to stack that many cans of milk on top of each other." Peru News thought was the most interesting bit of information was the fact that they were stacked while ON the table! If you can imagine stacking cans on top of an unstable environment, you will absolutely die knowing that Elder Buck stacked his cans of milk on TOP of the table. That's right.

Furthermore, Elder Buck would like to thank Sister Sosa, (seen between the cans and Elder Buck) for being such a help in handing the cans of milk to him. "The most critical part of can-stacking is finding someone to help you. I am glad someone like Sister Sosa could help me." Comments like these were among many at the time this amazing record was accomplished. "I'm betting this was the most cans ever stacked in all of Peru today," Elder Buck was overheard saying. Now THAT'S a record.

A full story of this news article will not be available for immediate use. That's right, my mom's Recipe for her amazing Brownies. It was great. You shall see what it takes to create such a delightful dessert such as this.

.

.

.

The first step is very simple. Melt the 200 grams of butter and the 50 grams of Vegetable Oil/Lard. Don't worry, I don't use animal fat in my cooking, I use vegetable oil, 100% NOT ANIMAL. So for those animal rights people, don't worry...
.

.

'

.

.

.

The next step is also quite simple. 50 grams of cocoa, or in other words, a half a cup. That's right, 50 grams is the same as half a cup, which means 1 cup is 100 grams. Imagine! Anyway, as you can see I'm dumping in the cocoa.

.

.

'

Then, the next thing you want to do is add WHITE SUGAR(Highlight that blank white space). Uh huh, 2 cups of it. Okay, do your math, and Yep, that's 200 grams of sugar as well. Here I am dumping in the sugar. Oh how sweet!

If you know ANYTHING at all about cooking, you will guess what's coming next. Yep, the Eggs.

It gives a great texture to any meal, and sure helps dissolve that sugar a lot easier. Don't ask me why, I think it's the watery egg white that does it. Anyway, 4 eggs one by one without shells and Boom, done.

Okay my fellow chefs, or is it cheves... j/k. Anyway, you know what is missing, right? THE FLOUR!!! Yep, one and a half cups (do the math...) or 150 grams of flour. The kind that is all ready to cook with. No yeast stuff needed. In peru you can buy it prepared or not prepared. But that's not the question. The answer is I needed prepared flour, so that's what I used.

.
.

"Don't eat that! There are raw E</ style="COLOR: #ffcc00" eggs in there!" I'm quoting that because surely any mom would tell you, exactly like that, to not eat it.

.

The next part is the easiest part. If you did not eat all your mixture, you dumped it into the greased pan and placed it into the oven at 180º Celsius (About 350º Farenheit) and waited a looooong 30 minutes. And Longer if you don't know how to control the oven's temperature... Not to mean I did... or anything like that...

The next part is a little difficult. Usually it's easy, but since there was no rectangular pan to cook with, we used a regular cake mold. Well, I was able to cut Every piece to look almost like a square. Can you imagine? It's true. I cut square shapes out of a round mold.

For those who are daring to try new things, add a spoonful of GIN on top of your brownie, for some real kick. Just a joke, come on! I do not recommend doing that to anyone. So if you took me seriously, I'm sorry. Anyway, you do NOT want gin.

After all the fun of baking is over, you get the great opportunity to enjoy the brownie with the whole family. How cuuuuute.

I actually DID make this wonderful dessert. What a surprise, no? She was a little nervous, but she continued firm, and now counts as one of the lost sheep found. This photo is me, Agrepina, Elder Quispe my ocmpanion, and the family of Agrepina. It was a special day, and on Sunday, she got confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and recieved the holy ghost. What an experience! not even 3 weeks in my new area and we had a baptism! Well, I hope you all deem this worthy of blogging, because the worth of one soul is great in the sight of God, and He would surely deem this blog-worthy.
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. That's right, I put the Scorpion Sucker™ in my mouth and I survived. I believe I have my protiens for the day. Eeaccgh (I believe that word describes the feeling of a scorpion in your mouth.)! Give me a pat on the back, and look at these frightening photos, of my quest to eat the Scorpion Sucker™...

1→ 2→

3→
The blueberry flavor was helpful to hide the scorpions flavor. In fact, it was worse trying to eat the sucker because the scorpions claws began poking out of the sucker and it just felt really wierd, like a small stick inside a clear sucker, and as the sucker gets smaller, the stick scrapes your mouth. Anyway, after I sucked most of the blueberry stuff off the scorpion, I washed him off so I could hold him without getting all sticky. You have no idea how sticky this sucker made my fingers. Yeach! Taking off the wrapper was a work in itself. Anyway... here are the photos of me actually eating the scorpion:
4→ 5→<img src="http://img446.imageshack.us/img446/6430/p40300232bk.th.jpg" border="0" alt="In she goes. It is far, far away and we decided to go up a big hill. Part of the way there, we realized we'd have to jump a small river, those in Utah would call it a stream. Anyway, while there, one Elder neared the river, lost his fingering on the bottle and... whooosh... (slow motion...)... sppplllaaaasssshhhh. Just like that. Here in the photo I caught precisely the moment as it passed by me. The Unfortunate elder didn't retrieve the water bottle and went home empty handed, (and dehydrated.). but we couldn't let the loss of the sad little water bottle stop us in our adventure to our destination.
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. Most of them seen... yep, indoors. Usually outside, only seen smiling. Take a look at this in depth coverage of the many moods of a missionary.

1. The Average "Cool"...
This is what The Buckinator always looks like... including the wicked hair style. Don't worry, he's all calm as he shares the gospel with the people in a confusing world.

2. This is the look of my face when I think "What the heck happened to all our appointments?" Almost always you'll see me like this because people are always hiding from us!

3. The P-Day Hunk Elder, also free with outfit is the hairdoo and the bod. Don't you just like this look? Sorry, I still have a year to serve full time. (Then you'll have to catch me while STILL serving even when I get home in between school and stuff.)

4. Finally, the "Too much Candy" Elder. ¡AY, carambas! This is what happens when people send candy to him... and he tries to eat it all in one hour. Rare, but it happens. You're lucky I caught it on camera for y'all.

Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. Then we went to a zoo where I saw some parrots and birds and things. Then, at the little souvenir shop that always exists after an exhibit such as a zoo, I wanted to send a card to my best friend. I found a charlie brown one and I opened it up and it was a card I had already sent! It had my handwriting and everything inside, but what was funny is that someone made comments about it, like I shouldn't talk about what kind of food I ate or something, and then it had a list of food items and their countries next to it. It sounds confusing but it was like this for example... "Lasagna: Italian Spaghetti: Italian" All in all it was a pretty funny dream and I know anyone who reads this won't get it but if you do, leave me a comment, ok? Thanks.
Elder Buck is a missionary serving in Peru. Join with

I'm just sitting here in amazement as I stare at the computer moniter and let my eye's burn into a roasty rojo (red) and click away writing random alphabetic letters, like this: sadfhueahf. Interesting huh? I guess I should explain that yesterday was Christmas, and I called my best friend Rhyno Dyno and my family. What a day it was!

As you all read this, please bear in mind that I only come here on Mondays because I am missionary man. I'm using my alter-ego "Buckinator" to write this message. Who is he? Come back later to find out.
